The best is yet to come!

New Year’s Eve, wow it came back fast.  Funny how going through time it seems like it will never end and then after it has we wonder where it went.  The saying “Time Flies” could only have been said after the fact.

It was an interesting year.  For many it was a year of change and for others, some things never change.  For many it was a life-changing year with more downs than ups.  However, the downs only force the desire and need to look up.  Talk about mixed emotions.  While it is good to know that one is not alone in their struggles, and this past year certainly saw thousands of people around the world struggling, it is sad that in the 21^st Century so many have to find themselves in positions of near poverty.  No matter how bad things get we can only remember there is someone near us that needs more help than ourselves.  Let’s all send out positive thoughts to everyone who can use a lift in 2011.  Thoughts create reality!  Let our thoughts create the reality we want and the reality we all deserve as a human being put on this planet to make things better for others as well as ourselves.

May 2011 be productive and see us all looking up to a future better than our pasts.

Congress is playing games with peoples future.  Take a minute and send an email to your Congressman or Senator that the "mid-class" need the continuation of lower taxes and not the super rich.  The "Trickle down theory" just doesn't work and the 700 BILLION that would be added to the National Debt is unnecessary.

It's been a hot bed of controversy and there is still no resolution.  The Don't Ask Don't Tell policy pursued by the military has been judged to be unfair.  But, those looking to maintain the policy are intent on going back to the courts time and time again trying to overturn the ruling.  Now the Supreme Court is being asked to overturn the ruling that overturned the ruling.  Where's the Common Sense in all this.

This Tuesday when you go to the polls, and I do hope you plan on going, make sure you use some "Common sense."  Don't vote for someone just because they represent the Party you favor or you like the way they wear their hair or even just because they once said one thing you agree with.  DON'T be swayed by the television or radio advertising you've seen or heard.  DON'T not vote for someone because of negative advertising you've heard about a candidates' opponent.  DON'T vote for a candidate because your family or friends said you should.  And for sure DON'T just vote for change without knowing if that change will help or hurt the new Government.  DO vote for a candidate because you have taken some time to actually check out what they stand for, what they will do for your State or Country, how they will vote on important legislation over the term for which they are elected.  Make your vote count for what you want to happen.  Like they say you can be part of the solution, not the problem.  VOTE!

Election Day and beyond

On Tuesday Nov. 2nd, election day, the entire show is devoted to politics and what is happening at the polls.  On Wednesday the same as we asses what happened and how the votes will effect all of us.
Please be with us and add your input by telephone or Skype. 
Will the country move to the "right?"  Will the "Tea Party" make an impact?  Can the "Democrats" continue moving the country forward?"
Is it possible that nothing will change?

Starting Monday Nov. 1st we're off and running with visits from the guests scheduled for our first week's get together.
Tuesday, election day, the phone are open to look at the day's excitement at the polls.
Wednesday again the phone are open to you to voice your approval or dislike of the election results.  Call us and share your thoughts.

Starting soon we will be blogging about the daily subjects to be talked about on the new show.

It’s official!  Las Vegas has a new outlet for talking about the issues that affect all of us.  Internet Talk Radio is fast becoming the new choice of listeners around the world.  LVROCKS, Las Vegas’s internet station, will become the new home for “The Dave Scott Show”, an interactive current events talk radio presentation.

Dave has been talking with people around the country for 24 years on his daily talk show.  He has been broadcasting “on-the-air” in San Francisco, Denver, Tampa and radio stations in Massachusetts talking daily about the things that concern us all.  No stranger to controversy, Dave spends time talking Politics, lifestyles, the economy, entertainment, education and everyday life issues that make for a lively and in-depth exploration of those issues that keep us all talking.
